I love hiking, it’s serene yet challenging and rewarding. I decided to do a month’s worth of hiking in one day (15 mile hike) by hiking Mount Marcy, the tallest mountain in NY State. This was my first time climbing a real mountain without the aid of a ski chairlift. Mount Marcy, which is over 5,300 ft, is not a recommended hike for inexperienced hikers. What could go wrong?

I managed to finish the hike before sunset but biked back exhausted to the hostel in the dark. Worth it!
