I was exited for what was supposed to be a hidden gem in upstate New York. I arrived late Thursday afternoon biking in from Rome, NY.
Since I was arriving from the north east I decided to start with the Sapsucker Pond and Forest which has been called an obligatory stop for birders (which I am not).
After about an hour of trying to see birds I headed south to Cornell Plantations and Botanical Gardens which looked and smelled amazing
One of the reasons to visit Ithaca is that it’s gorge-ous
Hiking up the Cascadilla Trail may make you hungry. Thankfully, Ithaca has 169 restaurants (as of October 2017 more per capita than New York City). Watch me try to find the best ones below.
