Maybe due to it’s proximity to the US, but Monterrey had a lot of similarities to a big american city. McDonald’s and the nicest Walmart I have ever seen. But certain things like the food, architecture and people still gave me a sense of being in a new place

Monterrey is a big industrial/metropolitan city, one of the biggest in Mexico. But you can take a break from the hustle and bustle by taking the Saint Lucia Paseo (canal) to the beautiful Fundidora Park.

I love moments where I can get a better perspective of things. The Mirador Asta Bandera is a great place to get a sense of exactly how big this city is and small we are next to the mountains that overlook Monterrey

I spent the equivalent of 2 days in Monterrey and could definitely come back as there’s still a lot to see and eat!
