I have never dipped in the Pacific Ocean. I was excited for this first encounter.It was early February and the water was warmer than I was expecting. But what might be even more enjoyable than swimming in the ocean is watching collide with the Pacific Coast via the city’s extensive Malécon (Boardwalk)
I was lucky enough to be hosted by Cris and Fred who lived in the city’s Historic District. Be it day or night this Neighborhood lends itself well to a wander and snack
The hike up to El Faro (lighthouse) was one of my favorite moments of the trip so far. The perspective provided from the top of El Faro made me emotional, feeling true love for Mazatlán and where I was in the world
