The TzinTzunTzan Ruins (located next to Lake Pátzcuaro a little north of the city) were ultimately what me decide to take the route I did bicycling to Pátzcuaro. This was only my second time seeing Mayan or Aztec ruins so I was excited to see what kind of ancient vision this archeological site might bring me

Pátzcuaro Downtown area might not have the biggest churches and architecture (probably because Pátzcuaro’s size borders between a town and a city) but felt unique thanks to their aged and untouched nature

I had never climbed a volcano, because that sounds dangerous. Cerro del Estribo Grande is an inactive volcano with amazing views of Lake Pátzcuaro
