Colombia’s White City, Popayán, draws a crowd for the uniform beauty of it’s downtown area. But the reason behind why everything is white is definetly not beautiful
UNESCO has declared Popayán as a World City of Gastronomy, I wanted to find out why. I attempted to do this by tasting a cross section of Popayán’s culinary offerings. Another reason people come to Popayán is to learn stuff. Universidad del Cauca is one of the best in the region and is a great place to wander. I also got to check out the University’s museum of natural history which has re-creations of a lot of the diverse wildlife that calls Colombia home
