Bicycling in Peru has been adventurous so far. This second leg to Huaraz was no different



Machu Picchu & the Quechua (Inca) people are what most people think about when it comes to Peru’s indigenous roots. But this big country has a deeper and more interesting history that involves many civilizations that lived and built off the land before Inca kings ruled most of Peru. Such as the Huari people that settled high up in the mountains near the town of Huamachuco

At this point I wasn’t halfway through the country and I was already starting to think that Peru had the most impressive landscapes I had seen so far on my trip across the Americas. I thought this before I entered Huascarán National Park. Which is Peru’s hiking capital & home to Peru’s most famous mountain range, La Cordillera Blanca
