On this trip I had come across some desert like environments (in Mexico & Colombia) that I enjoyed. But I never spent any time looking at full on sand dunes with zero vegetation. I knew this was on the schedule for my ride to Nazca. Ocean waves on the right, sand waves on the left and a happy sailor in the middle

Nazca is famous for its gigantic desert drawings that you may very well have already seen in another documentary. I was pretty grateful to be able to see some thanks to a tower (as opposed to an expensive personal plane ride). But the good tourist fortunes didn’t end there. Unbeknownst to me, Nazca had many other interesting archaeological sites that could easily be seen via a little walking or cycling
